Broadway Auto Clinic

I decided to try Broadway Auto Clinic because my regular mechanic was booked. Unfortunately, the experience left me very disappointed. I brought my 2014 Subaru Forester in because the brakes felt spongy and the A/C wasn't working. I approved the $205 A/C diagnostic and asked them to evaluate both the brake system and the air conditioning so I could decide what repairs to authorize. After their inspection, I was told all four brake calipers were hanging up and was presented with an estimate of nearly $3,800 to replace all four brake calipers, all pads, all rotors, perform a brake fluid flush, and repair the A/C. When I questioned whether all four calipers had really failed at the same time, I wasn't arguing. I was simply trying to understand the diagnosis. I declined the repairs, paid the $205 diagnostic charge, and took the vehicle to another repair shop. This place has taken care of my mother for years and they have a great system of follow-up, follow through, and informing their customers. I also brought my European car to them and they had the necessary expertise and charged me significantly less than the dealer.
